For my one-point perspective drawing, I drew the street of my favorite restaurant, Cafe d'Marie. I thought I used good value in my drawing because there are dark values and light values, which helped give my drawing contrast. Using a vanishing point, I was able to give my drawing a good sense of space and depth. The hardest part of this drawing was using line quality to display the texture of the bricks and the spacing of the bricks as they got farther away. It was very difficult to give my drawing a sense of unity because the objects further back became very fuzzy and hard to draw accurately without making it feel incomplete. Lastly, I thought my piece has a good sense of balance because each side of the road is symmetrical, and the vanishing point is close to the center.
